An amazing night had at the Players Chophouse! Un-organised as we are, my girlfriend and I left it til the last minute to make plans. Obviously its newyears eve and everywhere was fully booked including this restaurant. After 2 hours of trying to find a table in Whistler... Chophouse called, offering us a cancelation... great news because our evening was looking like a takeaway pizza! We arrived a little early and had a cocktail on the sofa by the fire which was a nice start to the night. The hostess kept us updated and we were sat in at a small table with great views of the mountain and with the open kitchen layout they have we could even see our steaks getting cooked, which were amazing! It was extremely busy but the service was still great. A great atmosphere, then after our meal we joined everyone in the lounge area upstairs to see the newyear through. All in all, a surprisingly fun and enjoyable night!

Came here for a birthday dinner with a couple girlfriends on a Friday night.  We had made reservations that morning and was able to get a reservation with no problems.... we ended up showing up an hour earlier than our reserved time, dunno how that happened and why ... but i guess in Vancouver, ALL people lose track of time... i guess we were too excited to just stay in the room...... any hoot, we show up and we were able to get seated 45 mins earlier than our reservation. We were totally surprised and delighted at the same time. This was my first time to the restaurant part... and honestly wasn't expecting much to begin with, But honestly.... i had a great time.  The ambiance was nice,  The food was absolutely delicious. We had all ordered steak~~~ there was the Coffee Crusted, Kung Pao, and the Surf & Turf. All were cooked perfectly and seasoned well.  I would definitely come back to try their other dishes.   Service was decent for what it was worth. The place is very under rated. HAPPY EATINGS

I saw the restaurant added on the website last week, decided to give it a try. Although the restaurant is pretty empty when we got there, but everyone was enthastic! The hostess opened the door for us and WOW ~ the restaurant is nothing I've ever seen before. The atmosphere was top notch, the light, the music, the decors are just unbelievable!!!  I almost thought I was in Asia with those big fancy restaurant, but the decoris a must-see attraction. Now the food, my girlfriend ordered the chilled crab cake, is a very strong recommendation from our server, and it was well worth it, the mango salsa on top is insane, pairing with the fresh crab meat, its nothing I've tasted before. For the main, I had a coffee crusted steak, this is the first time I've heard that people cook with coffee, it turn out a 5 Star rating on the steak. The steak is cooked right, and the flavour is very exciting. All I can say is, this is a must visit restaurant for whoever hasn't gone to Richmond lately, this is far better than where I used to go in Richmond, for the food and the price, everyone will enjoy it. I actually made reservation for my birthday party there tonight, will update you guys on my next visit! Danny

The perfect discription of Steeps Delicious Food, Great Service & Amazing View. This year they are serving all BC products for the food and all BC wines. Great combination of seafood from the Pacific ocean and meat and vegetable from the near by Pemberton Valley.  Well complemented by the interior British Columbia winery wines. We went to the Wine Makers Apres food & wine pairing event. The wine producers talks about the process of the wine making and its caracteristic and the Chef elaborate on the food and how it  paires with the wine. Extremely enjoyable experience and very reasonably price. We never had a bad meal at Steeps. Great place to enjoy delicious food, pleasant service and relaxing views in the middle of a ski day. Living large in a very civilized way    

There is a lot of Hype surrounding this restaurant...the proprietor is the Taiwan Beef noodle Champion. Anyways, after a brief line up of 15-20 mins we were seated. Had to try the staple dish and was not disappointed. The soup tasted excellent and the noodles were just right.. They are generous with their portions of Beef as well. I have never tasted Taiwan Beef noodle soup in Taiwan so I cannot say this is like it "taste's back home" Our side dish (green onion pancake) was a bit oily though. The service is good and attentive for a Chinese Restaurant. They do push you to order quickly as there is a line up however. In the end, gave it 4 forks, due to the higher price for a bowl of noodles compared to the competition i.e. Beefy Beefy Noodle and Wang's noodle house

Ask for Kelly!  After trying several other places in Whistler, and being very dissappointed, we were very happy to find Caramba!.  Large menu of appetizers, soups (WAY better than other soups we've had here) and salads, wood-grilled pizzas and pastas compliment entrees that include rotisserie chicken, pork and lamb.  The calamari appetizer was recommended, but we didn't try it.  There is also pot roast and a selection of several fish.  All the food was fresh and well-prepared.  Unfortunately, they are only open for lunch on the weekends, which I imagine will change for the Olympics.  A reasonable, but not amazing value.  It will be our default choice because of the well-thought-out menu. 

Decided to take my mom here for her birthday on Xmas Eve.  The selection was pretty good for a Vancouver Buffet.  The prime rib was to die for and they had a made to order shrimp dish that was fantastic.  Basically you watch them cook it for you right in front of you.  My grandma even went back for seconds. The selection was more than I expected, featuring even some Chinese dimsum, which was only ok in quality (as expected).  Would have liked to see more fresh seafood (i.e. no oysters!). All in all, I'd return again, despite the 2 hour wait. It was Xmas eve.  Seemed not a bad deal. Everyone left STUFFED.

We love to vacation in Whistler every Christmas and have stayed at the Westin Whistler for 5 years in a row and one of the reasons we love to is the Aubergine Grill. It is simply our favorite restaurant in Whistler and we've tried most many of them. Sure it's convenient when staying at the hotel, but it's very much worth checking out no matter where you are in the Village. We walk all over the village and then say, why don;t we just go to the Aubergine, it's better than all the others! It's even our 13 and 8 year olds' favorite, which is remarkable as it's upscale, peaceful and refined. The food has always been excellent. I yearn for their elk tenderloin. The breakfasts and brunches are fantastic as well. We've always had outstanding service without fail, and the ambience, decor and massive picture windows add up to a delightful meal. We heartily recommend Aubergine for everyone.
